Cute

If chess had a child with rock, paper, scissors, this would be the game. Thats the simplest way to describe it. Its a cute game, with limited strategy, which makes it easy to learn and simple to play. All in all, it lacks any real depth to make this lasting fun, though. It would make a nice little game to play with your child. One thing to note is the enemy AI in single player is obscenely stupid, even on hard. Once the AI has stumbled upon your trap (and its thus revealed), it will continue to send its ninjas to their doom to attack the trap. Its rather amusing to witness your opponent pointlessly sacrifice three or four ninjas by throwing them one by one against your trap which is clearly visible.
